Speculation on US removing Covid testing requirements??

Transmitting through US in July, wondering if anyone has any inside information or thoughts on whether the US might relax their testing requirements for vaccinated travellers?

I know the travel industry is putting pressure on the government but there doesn’t seem to be any sign of change just yet.

Thanks for posting the update, @SummaLovin. I'm in the USA at the moment and it seems this isn't big news, but major news outlets - here's Reuters, for example:
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-drop-covid-testing-incoming-international-air-travelers-2022-06-10/ are reporting it in advance of a formal announcement from the White House. I understand the hesitation about lifting it, but a 90 day trial seems reasonable given the flux and uncertainty at the moment.

I've been back and forth between Mexico and the USA and I've had to pay around 130 - 170 USD (£105 - 138) every time I enter the USA by air from Mexico. Because Mexico has never required or prioritised non-symptom-related COVID testing, it's relatively expensive to get the test here voluntarily within the US foreign arrivals guidelines (day of or day prior to flight departure) because it's deprioritised if you have no symptoms, and considered a "rush".
