Any recommendations for aparthotels in NY?

Hi - heading to NYC in October, myself, DH and two teenage kids. We're staying for 6 nights, so I'm wondering about getting a small aparthotel or similar rather than squeezing all of us into a single hotel bedroom. Any recommendations? I've seen a few on booking.com but they get really mixed reviews, and we can't afford to pay £2000+ which many places seem to cost!

I would have a look at the Embassy Suites on West 47th street. They also do breakfast as part of the room rate along with free wifi.

We stayed at Mint House in the financial district recently. Was really nice, would definitely recommend.

Hi there. We are goimg to celebrate my 50th Birthday next year
I have done some serious searching amd agree hotels are v expensive for a family of 4. I have been to NYC before and liked the flat iron district. Midtown near to soho and tribeca .Walking distance to macys / empire state etc. The suites at the Broadway plaza hotel look great / near supermarkets for lunchs / does Breakfast. Reviews of breakfast pre pandemic is great BUT with covid its just order in yourself. I mean how much is a box of cereal ?? The suites have fridges.the hotel is close to the Subway too and near a huGe restaurant arcade called eataly - pizzas / pancakes / etc etc .The hotel does complimentary teas and coffees all day. Have a look. The price is definately reasonable.i didnt want to stay near times square so found this.
Have a great time

Can't recommend a specific hotel but I recommend looking in the Hell's Kitchen area, lots of reasonable places to eat and drink compared to Broadway

The Radio City Apartments are very close to Times Square. They were a bit tired when we visited in 2016, but for location, space and facilities were fine for us. They do get booked up.

We have opted to stay outside Manhattan. We'll br in Brooklyn but also looked at places in Queens. As you're staying a decent length of time it might be worth considering too - if you were just there for a long weekend I can see why being central would be more important but for us the cost savings made up for the inconvenience of a subway ride into town.We couldn't find an aparthotel we liked though so have gone for two hotel rooms (don't have the extra tourist tax fee outside Manhattan too)

If you can't afford Manhattan prices, take a look at Jersey City. You can travel into Manhattan really quickly on the commuter PATH train and there are many more reasonably-priced accommodation options there. We stayed in Radio City Apartments one time, but there were very dated and expensive and I wouldn't rush back. We've stayed in Jersey City a couple of times, once in a suite hotel and another time in an Airbnb. You can be in Manhattan all day and just sleep there.

We stayed in the Home2Suites by Hilton New York Long Island City. We had 4 of us in the room. This worked really well. Nice big room, breakfast included and a quick commute into New York.
