Long weekend in Europe with 13 month old

Hi all - I’m looking for recommendations for a long weekend in Europe with a 13 month old going start of July. We're not overly fussed about doing baby specific activities but would like somewhere that is child friendly (ie where restaurants will have a high chair etc).

I'm reasonably well travelled but this will be my first time with a baby so I feel a bit clueless. There are so many places I love, I'm really struggling to narrow it down anyway.

I’d also welcome any tips for travelling! DD is breastfed so I’m hoping this would help with the actual flights. Aside from that I haven't got the first clue :)

You can go pretty much everywhere. Italy and Spain, especially, babies are more than welcome in restaurants etc, even til late. Nice might be good - short flight, not full of cobbles, lots to see, with the beach at Antibes or Juan Les Pins thrown in. JLP has a really gently shelving beach so great for tiny ones.

Italy, Spain and France love kids, but we took DS to Nice in the July of when he was 10 months old, and spent a lot of time hunting for shade. He also did not cope with the heat well. If I were taking a baby to Europe in July again, I’d try somewhere further north.

I found that Copenhagen is baby-friendly to a degree that is hard to find elsewhere. It seems to go out of its way to accommodate young children.
Cobbled streets have pavements, the city is flat, and steps are few and avoidable. Stations and museums have lifts. There are reserved places for pushchairs on public transport. The biggest problem is bikes - they’re EVERYWHERE. Generally it’s easy to find nappy changing facilities. Tivoli has a big space by the Rasmus Klump playground with nappy changing facilities and also microwaves to warm milk and food. Illums and Magasin department stores have dedicated family rooms where you can breast or bottle feed on a nice comfy chair. They also have microwaves to warm milk and food.

Is Bruges an option?

Thanks everyone.

@Fivemoreminutes1 ahh we thought Copenhagen as neither of us have been there. And as PP said, might be better so we can avoid the sun of Spain/Italy etc. What's public transport like? Do we need to stay right in the centre? I had a quick look at accommodation and it seems fairly expensive but I guess anywhere is in July.

@RampantIvy yes definitely! I like the sound of Bruges just no idea how easy it is with a baby. I like the idea of getting a train there though.
