Italy and covid checks

Morning all
I'm going to Italy in two weeks and fully vacc. I'm reading that the nhs covid app acts as the equivalent to the super green pass required there, so open the nhs app and use the 'travel' section of the QR code.
No test required on the way in or out?
Surely can't be this simple... anyone travelled there lately? Feel like it must be more complex than this!

I am going too - that is what I have used to travel before.

I know DS needs a test as he is unvacc

We went to Venice a few weeks ago. If fully vacc'd you don't need to test before either journey. The nhs app is all you need in terms of the green pass. We had to do a passenger locator form to enter Italy but I believe that has now been scrapped as of 1st May. You will need FFP2 masks for the flights in both directions still I think

How does it work to show children are vaxxed/tested? I've got two vaxxed teens but not sure what the proof is. I've also got a younger unvaxxed child so I guess they will need a test but not sure if I can use an nhs one or have to pay. Sorry for hijack!

DD downloaded the app when she was 13 (age you have to be) checked and it all looks the same as ours does

For unvaxxed you will need to buy a test I bought mine from Randox. I think you just take it upload a pic and they send through a certificate

Updated advice for Italy. Any over 6 year olds not fully vaccinated need to test before entering. Once in Italy, for anywhere still needing a green pass/equivalent (public transport of any kind being the main one left) a test every 48 hours (LFT) or 72 (PCR) will need to be done. These can't be DIY ones but must be done in a pharmacy (LFT) or via health authority (PCR)

As pp said, the PLF is now scrapped.

Although masks are now mandated only in specific contexts, some places will make you wear one. It's rare to be allowed into a shop without one. Cloth ones have never been recognised here.
