We've been to Longleat cp, and got the impression the high prices were intended to keep the Butlins sort away. Everyone seemed frightfully middle class.
It was nice, but having got there and paid £730 for a 2-bed (nice chalet) for 3 nights, pretty much everything was extra, and by extra I mean extra expensive. £730 btw I think is pretty extortionate, especially next to European prices.
Think £6 for a game of mini-golf, £8 to participate in the easter egg hunt.
And everything had been planned out by most attendees with military precision in terms of activities, so you couldn't just walk up and play badminton, nope, you had to book for Monday at 11am. Come back Monday of course, and it was fully booked.
I liked the low chav quotient, but did think they needed more walk-up and go activities (I think when we went, Easter weekend, is one of the busiest of the year, but it seems Centerparcs is almost always 100% booked, at least when we want to go).
I have heard that the ex-Oasis one in Cumbria is to be avoided, as it's nothing like the other, and not a proper centerparcs.
