Majorca recommendations

Looking at going to Majorca in August with a teen and primary age dc.

Last time we stayed in Puerto Pollensa at the Hoposa Villa concha which was perfect but would like to try somewhere new.

We are considering the Viva blue and Spa or TUI Blue Alcudia Pins in Playa de Muro.

If anyone could recommend anywhere else would be much appreciated. We'd just like a nice clean hotel, some decent food and a lovely beach.

Our heads are in a bit of a spin from reading bad reviews.

We stayed at Prinshotel La Dorada in Playa De Muro and it was lovely. We've been twice and as a family of four and with wider family. I would highly recommend. This year we're off to Puerto Pollensa, so looks like we're swapping!😀

We have stayed in (a few years back) viva Majorca in ca'n picafort (but 20 mins) from beach, and playa mar in pollensa. Both good I thought.

If you want a really lovely beach, I’d recommend Cala Mesquida. There is a small resort on one side of the beach (a Viva hotel) and a beach bar near the entrance, but the other side of the beach is protected due so is made up of natural sand dunes and pine trees. Even in the height of summer, as it’s so big, you’d still easily be able to find a quiet spot.

Slightly off the wall suggestion, because most tourists who visit are German, so all the restaurant menus are in Spanish, German and sometimes English, but we've been to Paguera a few times and really like it.

There's three nice beaches, a pedestrianised walkway of restaurants, shops etc, which are quite low key rather than party central with loads of choice and plenty of authentic Spanish food. I especially liked the beach bar that did proper paella in one person portions, because you don't often see that.

The hotel we stayed in has now been refurbished and become a boutique adults only property, so no good for you, but there's a good range of accommodation in the resort.

I wouldn't get hung up on bad reviews. Some people are never happy and will complain that the food is bad because there's too little beige and more bones and shells than they're used to or that relaxed Spanish service is 'slow'.

We have just gotten back from the Hipotel Mediterraneo in Sa Coma (adults only but next door to the sister hotel Mediterraneo Club which does all inclusive for families)
Abso, utely amazing hotels, literally on the beach, quiet but with lots of activities eg we did off road segwaying.
The beach is beautiful sand, clear water, flat and in a huge cove with palm trees. The promenade is flat so we had lots of lovely walks.
I would go back in a heartbeat.
