Tap water in France or indeed the whole of western Europe is as good as (if not better) than UK tap water.

However, in France they tend to give babies bottled water - look out for a pic of a baby on the label for suitable ones. I think Evian's OK for instance.

I'm sorry I can't help more but I'm sure someone will be along with more precise info. Had you been going to Italy I could have given you a list of brands but I'm a bit out of touch with France.

Yep Tap water's fine here. They give babies bottled here (to make up bottles) because a) they don't have kettles to boil the water in b) bottled water like "cristalline" is only 1 euro for 6 1.5 litre bottles.
As pp said, check on bottles for the logo of a baby drinking a bottle - fairly obvious!

as others have said the tap water is fine - both my dc have not suffered from it! My gp said to use that rather than bottled water as the mineral content in some is too high for babies. We just used tap water. We ahd the car so we were able to take proper steriliser etc! Did help!
