Long haul trip with young teens next summer - help

Looking for inspiration please! We want to go away for 2/3 weeks max, not to Europe. Two kids, 12 and 13. Somewhere warm but not hot. Mix of adventure/culture and relaxing. We’ve thought about Canadian Rockies and Vancouver Island or Bali and the Gili Islands - completely different I know but I’ve been to both pre kids and would love to take them. Up for travelling round but finishing off with a few days of chilling at least.

Any ideas? A lot of places are ruled out by the weather (e.g. South Africa).

We have done the following all of which were fab (some during Christmas or Easter hols though so not sure about weather for everywhere during August):
Sri Lanka
Mexico
Singapore and Bali
Costa Rica (pre DC although on the list to go back with them)
Kenya (Safari) and Zanzibar
California
Miami and Floria Keys

All were great. the Florida Keys was probably least favourite. Following this thread for other ideas, although eldest DC is going to uni this year and youngest next year so not sure how many more family holidays there will be!
