Booking a villa

I am thinking of booking a villa for our summer holiday in the next year or so, we would like a beach/sunny holiday but most importantly, a pool. However, I have only ever stayed in hotels or apartments before. Could you please recommend companies or villas that you have used before and had a good experience with? It will be for 2 adults and a 13 and 11 year old. Location is not decided yet so I am really just trying to get an idea about villas. Thanks.

We've used James villas a few times

I’d stick to something like Jet2 Villas, BAHolidays or James Villas so you know they actually exist. You can also do a package deal with flights.

We have booked with Villa Plus, many times, always had a good experience.

James Villas provide excellent service

We've used Solmar, James, Villa Plus and Home Away, which is now vrbo, for our holidays abroad

Brilliant thank you everyone. I think my fear is that I book something, turn up and it doesn’t exsist. So lots of reputable places to look now.

We use Vrbo and Airbnb. In the case of the latter particularly, we always go with one with lots of reviews and/or a Superhost.

Villa plus, solmar and james are all good. Just make sure they're abta protected. I think we've done all three. Worst was when villa parade went bust but it was all ok in the end.
