France, teenagers in need of activity - where do we go?

Don't want to stay in a caravan (done that, want better beds) but would like some sporting facilities. Have looked at Centre Parcs, any other suggestions?

Club Med? Pierre et Vacances also have some sites with activities.

How about going to the Alps ? The bigger resorts usually have outdoor activities organised by the skischool/tourist office such as in Tignes

We had a great time in the Pyrenees last year with DS2 & friend (aged 16). Stayed in a Pierre & Vacances apartment in St Lary Soulan. Boys spent week doing activities such as canyonning, down hill scooters and white water rafting which we booked through the tourist office. Apartments had a swimming pool but the boys preferred the municipal pool next door where they could hang around with French teenagers and perfect their French swearing technique. Mini golf, tennis and forest rope walk also enjoyed. They had their own key to the apartment so could get up when they wanted and go out. We met up at meal times and played board games in the evening (no dragging them out of bars and clubs). We were able to go out as a couple for walks, visit local markets etc which would not be of interest to them. There are plenty of resorts in the Alps (our favourite there is Samoens) where you can do this. You do need to be in accommodation in the town so the teenagers can go places without needing lifts from you.

Thank you - I'll check out Club Med and Pieree et Vacances. They both like canoeing/kayaking so that sounds promising. Wouldn't mind the French swearords if they are forced into speaking the language
