Travel to US

Has anyone travelled to USA recently with a Certificate of Recovery from Covid (rather than a negative PCR/antigen) - and successfully boarded a cruise ship with it?

I cruised from Miami last week and everybody needed a PCR test result that was less than 48 hours old and to fly I needed a test less than 24 hours old.
I imagine different cruise lines vary there requirements but for mine you couldn’t get in the shop without the test result.

Some of the above link
Is out of date.

@NeedleNoodle3 the fit to fly test only has to be the day before for the US not 24 hours.

NeedleNoodle3 · 24/03/2022 18:57

Yes sorry my error.

We are entering the USA on a small boat. Canada to Alaska! I’m waiting to hear how we are doing the test!

I live in the US so I haven’t traveled to the US recently but we went on a cruise earlier this month. Everyone had to be tested beforehand, without exception. The blurb from the cruise line said that if you didn’t want to be/couldn’t be tested you would have to cancel your reservation. But each cruise line has their own version of requirements. Check your cruise line’s specific requirements.

CDC only requires arrivals from other countries by air to be tested, not by sea or land.

We are entering USA. Alaska from Canada. I now believe the company is organising tests.

AmandaHoldensLips · 27/03/2022 19:02

All cruise passengers have to be tested and cleared in the cruise terminal before boarding. Then tested regularly on board. And tested AGAIN at some of the ports.

It's a major pain the arse.

Brideandprejudice · 27/03/2022 19:03

My sibling did last week. They had no problems.

I’m not a cruise passenger. Boat takes 12 guests.
