Would you pay extra for BA Hold luggage at the moment or not ?

Travel is for July .
Lots of issues ,that I can see .
Is it worth it ?

BA is the cheapest .

So much easier taking hand luggage only. Unless you’re taking bike and ski helmets it’s easily doable. And so much faster.

The luggage at Heathrow is not operated by BA. They just fly the planes. The luggage operators are not their employees.

I wouldn’t worry now about July. We’ve booked with them for June with hold luggage included. The space for everyone taking hand luggage is limited and , if too many have hand luggage, they pop it in the hold anyway. I doubt issues will last until July. They are usually short lived. We always fly BA from T5. It’s just more pleasant. You cannot guarantee any other terminal will be perfect either. If they have luggage issues at an airport it can be any terminal affecting any airline.
