Hoping someone can help as I've read so many websites & am getting more & more confused!

We have had a trip to France booked for ages (have moved the dates several times) now it's this April.

I know I can travel as am double jabbed and will have had the booster as well before departing.

However I have 2x DS age 12 and 14. They have had one jab each and not enough time to squeeze in 2nd before April.

I think they can travel into the county with me as I'm fully jabbed. But what about this health pass?

Is there any way 12&14 single jabbed DSs will be able to enter cafes, museums etc?

Not helpful but I'm in the same boat - 12 year old who literally can't get a second vaccine as he's not going to be long enough since the first one (and he had it on the day after his birthday!). Seems to be a gap they're falling through.

Hi. The restrictions end on 14.03 with the exceptions of nursing homes and hospitals.

So they will be fine for fun stuff like restaurants and museums.

Really! Oh that's good news, thanks very much

Also from what I gather absence of vaccination has never been a problem when it comes to ER. (I'm sure that's not on your itinerary but I would want to know my kids could be admitted if required. )

Yes great news. DCs have been masked at school and Uni for the past 18 months, poor things.

rockywilderness · 07/03/2022 16:46

Fantastic news, thank you!

Just to confirm does that include all public transport whilst there and flights to get there? Thank you

Hi paintoil,

Masks are still obligatory on public transport here in France after 14 March.

Here in Chamonix no more restrictions to enter restaurants and so but the best with kids is to enjoy outdoor activities. Plenty of choice even if you don't go to ski.
For exemple we tried the paragliding Chamonix experience with them www.flymontblanc.com it was amazing. No particular skill and really softer than expected. There are two things to do here: aiguille du midi cable car and paragliding.

Does anyone know if you still need a negative PCR / LFT to enter France if not fully vaccinated? 13 year old DS has had the first jab, but there won't be enough time before we leave for him to have the second jab. He had Covid in October. I am triple jabbed. Can't find the answer on any of the websites.

MillieMollyMandi · 17/03/2022 20:35

@allchildrengrowup Good question! I've been trying to confirm this too...

From my understanding, children over 12 needs 3 doses to be fully vacx unless they can provide recovery from COVID as a third dose, or unless dose 2 is from J&J.
If not they ll need a LF test before travel.
But it's as clear as mud, I am french, read the advice in French, and still makes no sense. I live in UK and I want to take my 14 years old to see his grandfather

raspberryjamchicken · 02/04/2022 16:40

We are travelling to France next week with a 12 year old and they do need an antigen test within 48 hours of departure.

raspberryjamchicken · 02/04/2022 16:41

If they are not fully vaccinated that is (x2 within the last 9 months I think).
