Kids clubs age 3. TUI Blue any good?

Desperate for a holiday and looking at TUI Blue Playa De Muro, Majorca in July. We considered May/June school hols but worried it won’t have decent pool weather.

Have 3 DC’s, youngest two are 3 and 6. We’ve never done kids clubs or all inclusive before but have been lured by the idea of getting a couple of hours to ourselves.

Has anyone got experience of TUI blue hotels? The good the bad and the ugly… Well run? Is the food any good? There is an option for self catering and swaying towards that, can be particular about food.

Kids clubs. Is it as simple as dropping both children off and having a couple of hours to relax? Or are the clubs staggered? ( ie: Different ages groups at different times)? It says all their staff are trained etc so assuming it’s well managed, secure, safe etc.

Please let me know your recommendations for reasonably priced, child friendly hotels in and around Spain/Europe particularly with kids clubs that accommodate 3 year olds.

We’ve done TUI family life, just the old name for TUI BLUE. Kids clubs are run by UK qualified staff. We’ve only used baby club but the kids seems the enjoy the older clubs. I think the clubs are 3-5 year olds and then 6 plus they would be in different clubs.

Did you book somewhere OP?

We’ve been to a tui blue sensatori and kids clubs were ages 3 -12 (although I’m sure no one was older than 8) with under 3 in the nursery. Both our kids loved it although they couldn’t go in together as 1 is only 2. It was amazing for us to get a break as we have no family to help us ever. Staff were all very professional and reassuring.

We are looking for something this summer but shocked at prices. We have a child who will be 3 in the summer and 6 year old so want them to go in together but can’t afford sensatori and I’m wondering if there’s a more reasonable option.

@LivingOnAPear sorry only just seen your reply! Yes, we’ve booked SC apartment at Pirates Paradise in Majorca with Jet2, no clue what to expect but they have a kids club from age 3, apparently their animation team are fabulous and it’s the place to be for little ones, it looks quite immersive. Seen the Sensorati resorts, they look really lovely, just a shame our budget won’t quite stretch to them either haha, everything is so expensive at the moment.

We found it on here - there is a mix of budgets and you have to sift through to find the kids clubs ages but this link has some great recommendations and the links on the page take you straight to the websites, Jet2, Tui etc.

Never ever do a kids club. What's the point of going on holiday with children if they're only going to be palmed off on strangers!!

What's the point of going on holiday and not having a break from your children despite their being a kids club that the children will love? You spend every day with your child, them spending a couple of days enjoying themselves and making new friends wont harm them.

@Nelliephant1 hardly palming your kids off putting them in to a kids club. Do your children not go to any classes at home?is this palming them off???same principle! It allows them to get out the sun without the fight as they have something else fun to do🤦🏻‍♀️

We’ve always had a good experience with the Tui kids clubs. Both of mine made loads of friends who they’d then find in the pool later. They always loved the chocolate party. We didn’t put them in every day but it does give you a small break. Then they would disappear off to do the party dances in the evening which was great fun.

@Spaghetti0 no, we’ve gone self catering but not really big drinkers. Will have a drink obviously but with little ones it might be the odd cocktail by the pool and a couple with evening meal.
@Nelliephant1 See where you’re coming from, it is very much a family holiday. The idea of kids clubs are just to get an hour to ourselves here and there, like PP’s said hopefully the children will make friends and do some nice crafts, games etc, they do classes at home. It won’t be everyday as we’ll be out exploring the island.
@MeOldBamboo that sounds fab, we’ll prob do TUI next year.

@CrossyRoad thanks for the link I will check it out. I’m quite up for self catering this time. The kids only ate pasta and pizza on our sensatori holiday so it was a bit wasted on them. Also it means we will be a bit more healthy.

Quick question I am thinking of booking for the end of august with my 2 year old, he will be 3 on 5th September will he be allowed in the kids club ? It says 3 but wondered how strict they would be he would be 3 a week later!

@Cb700 If it’s with tui would expect them to say no due to insurance. My nearly 3 year old used the crèche which was about £12 for 3 hours in Turkey. Her sister was in the kids club next door so we hoped they’d suggest she went in there but they just said they’d leave the door open so she could see her sister.

Yea, the follow the rules strictly and do ask DOB. Many of the hotel are not offering the crèche service for under 3 this year.

Has anybody experienced asking if a nearly 3 year old can join in with the kids club activities at Tui blue? Our son will be two and a half weeks off 3 when we are there. He will be so disappointed if he can’t go with his brother or gets left with his baby brother. So much so that we might even postpone the holiday for a few weeks!

I think it's fine for an hour or so. Holidays are about the adult also. Plus kids like the activities the staff do.

We have had great experiences with Tui kids clubs and have used Sensatori, family life and the new Tui Blue. We did a Blue in Cyprus in May this year and my 4 and 8 year old both enjoyed the sessions. It’s perfect for getting them out of the sun for a couple of hours as they tend to keep them indoors or in the shade. The facilities and staff are fantastic. Plus, they get to know the animation team and other kids which helps them join in more with the evening entertainment. The only thing we did find this year was that there were far fewer older kids (as it was during term time) so although sometimes the age groups were all mixed together, occasionally they ran the 6-11 club separately even when there were hardly any kids. One day I found out when I collected him that my son was the only one in the group. He had a wonderful time as the 2 staff members played board games with him for 2 hours but I did wonder why they didn’t just put him in with his sister and the younger kids!

For those asking, they won’t let under 3s join the kids club. You have to pay for the baby club and they keep them separate for insurance reasons I think.
