Gatwick Airport early Sunday morning

Going for a 6.30 flight on a Sunday morning soonish(I cannot wait!!!) What time would you get to the airport. Will have hand luggage suitcases and have check in online beforehand.
I know that you won't have to show covid testing for where I am going but do you need to show covid vaccination status at security or passport control.

How long have queues been recently? Is a Sunday morning at 5ish busy? Lgw website has £5 fast track security???

Without knowing where you're going, it's impossible to say what Covid specific paperwork you will need to show (or not).

£5 fast track security definitely.

The early morning flights are the cheapest so often the busiest. I’d give it 2 and half hours honestly, especially if doing half term.

Gatwick asked for Covid proof when we decided to put our hand luggage in the hold ( free and freeing). So check in not security. Guess they weren’t terribly bothered as we were leaving!

We had it checked on the way in at passport control on the way in France and Greece.
Again at check in/ boarding coming back in France and Greece but nothing coming into the U.K.

I often take 6-7 flight from Gatwick and it's always heaving. Even if you have checked in online, you'll still queue to get through security etc.
2 hrs absolute minimum. 2.5-3 if you can. Far better to get to the other side and collapse with a bacon sandwich in Starbucks than still be panicking the other side.

Thanks, has anyone paid for the premium security, says £5.
If a Sunday morning is busy I would def rather pay for shorter queues.
Not in half term but guessing as someone said cheaper flights mean more going at that time.

I'd allow around 3 hours

It would depend on the airline for me.
