Resort Caribbean with small children

Looking for an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean with two small children. I have never been, any recommendations? Important for us are beaches with snorkelling opportunities, a kids club (as DC loves playing with others), swimming pool/s and obviously good food.

DC2 will be 1 so need nothing for him, just a nice sandy beach and lovely sea. We looked at Belize (DH has been and likes it) but found nothing suitable for younger children. Other suggestions please?

Beaches Turks and Caicos. Has all of what you want. There is a reef off the beach 5 min walk from the resort.

Thanks 😊

I would also recommend Beaches Turks & Caicos for young children. Finest Playa Mujeres in Mexico is another good option and probably quite a bit cheaper too.

Thanks. Will check it out. Has anyone been to St. Lucia?

I never think of Turks and Caicos as Caribbean, it’s nearer the Bahamas.

St Lucia is nice, as is Antigua and Barbados. Look at Elegant Resorts hotels. Tamarind Cove used to be nice for families, and they had another in their chain that was v family friendly (Coconut club?). It was ages ago since I last went though. V hot sun for kids though!

@Honeyroar we took DC1 to Maldives when she was 1 - is it comparable? Is August too hot or not recommended because of hurricanes?

St Lucia is fab but to travel to Rodney Bay where most hotels are is a LONG way with kids - it's a long transfer of approx 2 hours. I don't know which I've kids clubs, ours didn't we stayed at Coco Palm which is quite rustic but huge pool which the kids loved.

Barbados may be better for you it is a lot easier to get around. The Crane has a kids club and is great for families generally but isn't all inclusive - it is also a rather wild beach wave wise but the pools are fab. I am sure some on the west coast will have kids clubs, maybe Crystal Cove or Tamarind.

I took my DC to Almond Smugglers Cove St Lucia and we had a brilliant holiday.

Blue Waters in Antigua is great. We took DS when he was 21m.
