12/15-year-olds and Super Green Pass in Italy

Does anyone have any experience of being in Italy without a Covid Pass for 12/15-year-olds since 10th Jan 2022?
I am referring to hotels/restaurants, trains, etc..

My 12-year-old has had a first dose of the vaccine, but could not complete his second dose as he has caught Covid.
A Covid Recovery Pass is not issued by the NHS for under-16-year-olds and they cannot issue a Covid Pass as he has not completed his vaccination.
Has anyone tried to present letters from GP, etc..without a QR code?
Thank you!

We are taking our boys skiing in Italy this weekend. My younger one is 14 and is double vaccinated but we didn’t realise he couldn’t get a digital covid pass because he’s under 16 . We have applied for a letter of certification but it’s unlikely to arrive in time . So we were wondering the same thing - if anyone had any experience of travelling to Italy since they introduced the super green pass? Are they accepting any other form of evidence of vaccines ? Apparently you need a super green pass for hotel , restaurants, ski lifts etc.

@Dippi have you seen this? www.gov.uk/government/news/nhs-covid-pass-for-12-15-year-olds-for-international-travel

Yes thanks @Meadowbreeze- we have applied for the letter but it takes up to 7 days to arrive and we leave on Saturday . Seems ridiculous that you have to wait for a letter . He has the nhs app but just unable to generate a covid pass

Ah I see. I hope your postman saves the day tomorrow. That's very frustrating.

We were skiing in Italy at Christmas. Luckily DD12, has an Italian passport so we were able to get her the EU recovery pass. Every single bar and restaurant asked for the green pass which they scanned using an app on their phone. I think it would be a complete PITA trying to argue the toss over a piece of paper to be be honest. I read elsewhere that you can get a letter if you're in England but not sure if it has the magical QR code?

Hi @massistar, could you detail exactly what you did to obtain a Green Pass from a COVID recovery? We also have Italian passports. Thanks

@OliverIlGatto we did it through ULSS for the region where the kids are registered under AIRE. Veneto in our case. The GP gave us a printout of her positive Covid record and we emailed that to ULSS. They then sent us the EU digital Covid pass.

Just an update - I emailed hotel we are staying at in Italy and sent them a photo my sons appointment cards detailing date and type of vaccine. The hotel checked with their association and also with Mont Blanc Funivie (re ski lifts etc) and they both assured her that these will be sufficient for a super green pass , despite what it says on the official website ! Phew ! Fingers crossed !

Many thanks Hi @massistar. Very useful information.
Unfortunately, we belong to Roma and I doubt they will be as helpful. I very much hope to be proven wrong.

If you're Italian and have a codice fiscale you can do it online:
