I'd like to do the rockies. Can anyone give me any recommendations and travel agents they prefer using. This will be the one and only time we go.

Following with interest as I would also love to do this.

We went with trailfinders who were excellent and helps plan the route with us too.

@DonttouchthatLarry thank you. I was thinking of trailfinders. I'll give them a shout. I've wanted to go for so many years, I've just decided to get on with it now!

Save yourself a fortune and fly to Vancouver, pick up the car and drive to Calgary.

There are an abundance of route trip reports on the net so plan your journey, use hotel booking site and just go on an adventure.

Do you need a travel agent? I’d just book flights, a car and research the route myself - that’s part of the fun, surely?!

Yes it is, but I have friends and family in differing areas so I need to know how realistic it is to get to see them and the rockies in the time we have.

I've been putting it off for 15 years. Although I'd love a month there I don't have the money for that sadly.

We did Calgary to Vancouver, via Whistler and Vancouver Island.
If you look in organised tour brochures they have routes to follow then copy them. Hire a car and book your own accommodation that suits your needs.

We use the app Roadtrippers to sort out the road trips we take across America.
It always works well with a little planning.

Thank you

We used Trailfinders to organise our honeymoon (we drove round Ontario in an RV, it was awesome!). They were very helpful.

gogohm · 10/01/2022 17:42

Pre covid both air Canada and ba had a fly drive option, the one I looked at you flew into Toronto and out of Vancouver., the car was with enterprise

Get Google maps & see distances to/from where you need to be and where you want to go. We've driven various routes to, in & around the Rockies. If time is short, I'd look to prioritise, it's a big place.
