Florida offsite

We had our ideal Florida holiday planned in 2020: 11 days Coronado Springs with "free" dining, 3 days Hard Rock Hotel (universal express passes), May half term direct flights, all in including spends £8000 family of 4.

We now can't go until 2023 and it has to be in school holidays as eldest will be high school. We have a budget of £9000 but that's literally everything including spending money (we are pretty good at spending minimally in the US). With Disney seriously stripping back all the perks of staying on site, and a budget that hasn't increased much whilst prices have, we are now considering offsite; villa, apartment or different hotel. Starting from scratch and with no knowledge I don't know where to start.

Where and how do I start booking off site? Anyone recommend where to look for villas? Is this cost effective with only 4 of us? Any helpful bits of advice or experience? Will we miss out not being in the Disney bubble?

Join The Dibb. Lots of information including members with villas to let.

Having done Disney many times both on and offsite we prefer the freedom of a villa

Definitely join The Dibb, serious Disney nerds that can answer any Florida questions.

I’ve found the biggest expense/savings are limiting yourself to Disney or Universal. That said we’re doing both at Easter for the first time, 6 nights on-site at WDW, 2 nights at Royal Pacific and 5 in a villa, I haven’t added it all up yet!
