Tui holiday village recommendations.

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a resort. Looking for somewhere that doesn’t have karaoke, Irish bar, tribute acts etc but does have beach access, tennis courts and preferably a water slide. Kids club is not necessary but access to a town close by would be great.
New to these kind of holiday so any recommendations appreciated

Not a Tui holiday village, but Fodele Beach Resort might be the kind of thing you’re after

merrygoround51 · 01/01/2022 21:39

@Fivemoreminutes1 It looks lovely, my kids are teen/pre teen, would you think it might be suitable ?

Does it have to be a TUI holiday Village?

You might prefer a quieter AI. Look at Jet2Holidays online for e.g. Majorca or Algarve and filter options from there, look at facilities and hotel sizes.

IMO Jet2 have always offered better customer service than TUI, especially post covid.

merrygoround51 · 01/01/2022 23:13

@Chatwin No it definitely doesn’t and it doesn’t even need to be all inclusive. Just a really nice resort

You don't want a holiday village then.

Janedoe82 · 01/01/2022 23:16

Holiday village is haven in the sun.

I wouldn’t do a TUI holiday village with the ages of your kids. We have done Turkey and Cyprus and did love them both but our 11 year was bordering being a bit old I think. We are going back to Cyprus this year but it’s probably more suited to our 3 year old than our older DD now.

merrygoround51 · 01/01/2022 23:21

@Janedoe82 that is my worry !!

We have stayed in the holiday village in port des torrents in Ibiza with older children and had a good holiday, seems to meet all the requirements you listed

gogohm · 01/01/2022 23:22

Ai includes everything, it's not compulsory to join in though! I would recommend TUI magic life - lots of sports, direct beach access, public transport to towns, yes there's karaoke but only one night a week and as there's 2 bars you can avoid (but still have a quiet drink) kids programme wasn't in operation properly as I went in term time however it looked like they had teen and preteen activities mostly sports. Clientele were from across Europe not just U.K.

gogohm · 01/01/2022 23:24

Oh and not tribute acts - proper live music was on offer though, mostly in Spanish

Janedoe82 · 01/01/2022 23:32

I have been to the holiday village Majorca- my children absolutely loved it. But it isn’t sophisticated and you have to just embrace the tackiness or be miserable. Food grand.
Have also been to the Family Life in Rhodes- it is more luxurious and food brilliant, but the actual resort is crap.
There is a chain of ultra all inclusives in Greece and Spain which are much more high end- Ikos, but you will pay for them!

Janedoe82 · 01/01/2022 23:34

Also look at Mark Warner resorts

ZenNudist · 01/01/2022 23:36

I'm trying to find similar. What's your budget for when?

merrygoround51 · 01/01/2022 23:49

End of June and I am thinking approx 7-9k for 4

Janedoe82 · 01/01/2022 23:54

I would look at Ikos with that budget

Wond3rment · 01/01/2022 23:58

I’ve been to Holiday Village Kos with a 9 and 13 yr old. They had a lovely holiday. It was pre COVID so they are older now and harder to please 🙈

I’m interested in other recommendations for this year too.

Definitely not a Holiday Village with that budget!
thinkover · 02/01/2022 08:21

Definitely Ikos. Luxurious but good offering for kids/teens. Holiday villages are butlins abroad. If you have a healthy budget which you do, don’t subject yourself to it!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 02/01/2022 08:45

We stayed at the holiday village in C'an Picafort in Majorca. I think it's under new ownership now but it was really lovely. It's on the first choice site.

Local area was pretty quiet with some lovely bars on the beachfront.

I would definitely recommend.
