Tell me about Turkey?

Think ahead to summer holiday this year, we just want a bit of luxury in the sun and Turkey seems to be the best value by a mile??

Struggling to get DH into it though, he loves Greece and is funny about places being 'dangerous' for the kids.

Help me sell it to him!! We tend to be buoy ourselves everywhere but haven't really done a massive AI type holiday yet, but sure we would like it.

We stayed in Side Star Elegance Hotel before Covid.

It's 5 star plus - we loved it and have booked to go back this summer. It's the bottom end of the 5 star prices

@TomAllenWife

There's always one
Well at least there is one of us, who research their destination.

@FinallyFluid I don't understand how this is relevant to OP question about a holiday destination! Yes there are a lot of issues in Turkey in regards to human rights, and so many others all politics and the government not people's choice of living with it- tell me one country hasn't got these issues- will it stop you to go in a holiday to USA when there is a massive drug issue and all hilly billies who posses guns and can shoot like lunatics out of nowhere?

Thanks everyone. Sounds pretty ace!

@Lykia

We’ve stayed at the Hilton in Dalaman twice - only place we’ve ever been back to, we enjoyed it so much. Only down side is it’s pretty isolated - can’t walk to a town or anything. Food is fabulous

Love turkey. When I’ve been with small children they have been treated like rock stars in restaurants in a way you very rarely get in the UK. Just makes for a more relaxing trip if you know that children are welcomed.

@Bananarama21

We went to lara beach and stayed in the ramada was fantastic, food and entertainment was brilliant for our family of 5. Would go back again
Oooh @Bananarama21 - I've just booked the Ramada, glad to hear you enjoyed it. Did you go recently? Any tips on trips and excursions?
