Reethi Beach Maldives - Food Plan

Hi guys.
I have a question for anyone who has been re the food plans at Reethi Beach resort in the Maldives.
I understand there is one main restaurant which serves buffet food and the other restaurants are a La carte.
All of the food plans involve eating in the main buffet restaurant apart from the all inclusive premium.
So, one question I have is… if you opt for B&B does anyone know what kind of costs are involved for a lunch or dinner in the buffet restaurant?
Finally, if you are a moderate drinker - say a bottle of wine with dinner most nights and the occasional drink at other times during a week long holiday but probably not every day - would you say it is worth going AI at all?
Maybe cheaper to go B&B and alternate dinners between the buffet restaurant and a la carte for the week?
TIA for any advice

@Brycare
Ohh Reethi Beach...we went in 2018 so quite a while a go and don't know if it's changed but was an amazing holiday! We went for AI on the advise of our independent travel agent. I can't tell you the prices of paying separately apart from it was a lot particularly alcohol etc and pretty sure it worked out just incase it would save us money but it didn't. Plus I didn't want to have to worry about budgeting. Everything is imported there obviously so it's not cheap. IP am a moderate drinker and my husband actually had a sickness bug (not from the resort!) So don't drink for a few days we were there and it still worked out better value to be AI.
Very jealous - have an amazing time!

We had 10 days at Reethi Beach about 9 years ago and it was amazing. We too couldn't decide whether to go AI or B&B - we'd never been on that kind of holiday before. In the end we decided to go for AI so that we knew up front exactly what the costs would be. As it was our honeymoon, we just wanted it to be easy and not have to be thinking about costs while we were there. It was absolutely the right choice for us. We are not big drinkers at all but it was nice to be able to indulge in sunset cocktails most days without thinking about how much they were adding up to. We did upgrade to one of the a la carte restaurants on one night but the food in the buffet one was so varied and good that we really didn't feel the need to go elsewhere. I can't remember the exact costs as it was a while ago but I do remember that when we got home we felt that the AI had been great value. Enjoy - it is such a beautiful island and I would go back in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Did ye find it cheaper to book a package via a travel agent or book accommodation and flights separately direct yourselves?
TIA

We didn't look at the cost of sorting it ourselves - we just went for a package because we thought it would be more straightforward, especially with needing to use the sea planes.

We booked through a specialist independent travel agent that was recommended to us - No News, No Shoes. It is a very small family run business and the lady who runs it and planned our honeymoon, Chris, was amazing as she has been to so many of the Maldives islands herself (including Reethi) so knew exactly what she was talking about and tailored made our holiday (which also included Kerala too). Would highly recommend.
