Daily budget for Vancouver

Hello,
I’m booked up with my two teens to go to Vancouver for two weeks in July 22. I’m trying to decide what a reasonable daily budget I’ll need as I’m going to start transferring money across to my Canadian Savings Pot (in my bank online).
Is £300 a day enough? I know Vancouver is an expensive city. I’ve been before but many years ago - before kids! I have rented a house in AirBnB so obviously have a kitchen (don’t plan on eating out all the time) and I have a car hired as a package with British Airways. I don’t do hotel rooms anymore with two teens!
Is £300 enough? I’m planning on staying in Vancouver most days but going to spend a day at Whistler and also go to some of the Virgin River filming locations (love that show).
Anyone know if that’s enough? I haven’t looked into things like City Passes you can get for other cities.
We will be using the Skytrain for days into downtown Vancouver and gastown. Kids both like Subway sandwiches which well probably have on a lunchtime and I’ll take a little travel mug in my case (and Yorkshire teabags)!

I've a friend who lives there and she's been moaning about the cost of living a LOT lately, $10 for a punnet of mushrooms apparently! If you've budgeted £300 a day and then surely you make your plans accordingly for activities and food?

I’m just wondering how much places to go and visit will cost. I’ll do some research.

Attraction costs should be online.

Lonely Planet do a good book on Vancouver and BC. Frankly you won’t see as much staying in one place but LP will give you ideas and costs. There are some very nice areas in Vancouver and one or two awful ones. The rapid transit is useful if you are near a station.

I would take the ferry to Vancouver Island. Maybe to the other islands nearby. Do a whale watching trip. I would have gone beyond Whistler into the Rockies or stayed on VI but that would break the budget!

In Vancouver the museum at the university is excellent. It’s about the first nations of Canada. Take the car there. You can do the Capilano Bridge and even go south into the USA but Vancouver itself is a bit short on sights for 2 weeks.

I was in Vancouver in October and thought it was slightly cheaper than the UK. I stocked up on bits and pieces for my house from West Elm which was at least 20% cheaper than the UK.

I think £300 a day is fine but just bring a credit card that has no foreign transaction fees! Have a lovely trip.

I live on Vancouver Island, I'd say it's worth it to pop over for a day trip

Do Fly Over Canada at Canada Place - fabulous. You might wanna stay the night in Whistler ( hotel rooms quite cheap in the summer) as there are lots of teenage activities there. Zipwires etc.

Free shows most evenings at Kitsilano showboat.

My favourite holiday destination. Enjoy!

Thanks all!
I’ve been to the area before but before I had kids so can’t remember what’s there. I’ll take a look at hotels in Whistler as it may be worth staying over one night. I’ve booked an AirBnB in Vancouver which is close to a Skytrain station for getting in and out of the downtown area. I have a car hired for other trips. I will definitely go to Vancouver Island as I do remember that being lovely! And, my daughter loves whales and dolphins so it’s probably worth going on a whale watching trip too!
