A 4 month old won't know or care where they are. Wouldn't bother paying to go somewhere specifically child friendly, just go somewhere you would like to. City break?

What sort of holiday do you envisage?

At Centerparcs your Dd will be too young for the activities, check how young they take children in the crèche. Because Centerparcs is very activity orientated, and while you could probably put her in a bike trailer (check ages) and do the cycle trails and take her to the pool, what would you do the rest of the time? CP is very expensive to sit by a lake!

What time of year OP? And what do you/your DP like to do?

When my DC were this age we rented an apartment or a cottage, maybe on a farm or in a group of cottages with DC-friendly stuff on site and things to visit nearby like a zoo, aquarium, boat trip, adventure park. North Norfolk is good, Lyme Regis area, Pembrokeshire, Cotswolds - there are masses of places that would work.

Sorry - she's 4 MONTHS, not 4 years! Just go where you want. She won't care or remember!

AttaGirrrrl · 03/11/2021 10:18

At four months, go where you want to! Choose somewhere with good buggy access and with whatever facilities you need to get a good night sleep. She won’t care where she is so long as she’s with you.

Agree with everyone else, a 4 month old will still be napping a lot of the day so I would just go somewhere you would like to go... could be the last time!!
We took my son to the cotswolds when he was about that age. Wasn't too far to drive, rented an air bnb and did a few short walks, visited nearby villages and just 'relaxed' in the house as much as you can with a little one!
We went on a family holiday with my SIL and older nieces/nephews to centreparcs when he was 11mo and he was still too young. He enjoyed it but taking him back to the house for a nap twice a day was a massive pain given how big the place is. He was too young for everything except swimming. I'd wait till at least 2 or 3 for an activity holiday.

Xx

Really, you could be anywhere at that age. They won't know any difference. I!d wait until she's a few years older!

emmathedilemma · 03/11/2021 14:18

I wouldn't bother with Centre Parcs, she's too old to benefit from the activities on offer on the site (unless you want some time doing them and she could go in the creche) and you get nicer accommodation for less money elsewhere. City breaks are quite good at that age when they're happy to be in the buggy for most of the day.

What everyone else said.
Babies of that age are very easy to travel with imo particularly if you are breast feeding. They need a method of transport and somewhere to sleep. If you are out and about all day they will probably sleep well.
