Anybody been to France? What did you need to do?

Went to Spain in August and had to fill in Spanish locator form to enter the country for the whole family and got given QR codes to enter the country which they checked as soon as we touched down? Going France tomorrow and just went to do the same in the french government website and it says there is no locator form just to download a form to fill in called the health declaration and no QR code given. It looks like just a form to fill with pen and paper and nothing to submit. This doesn't seem a lot compared to I had to enter Spain. Has anybody been and was it really that simple? Thanks Smile

If you are double vaxxed then yes, it really is that simple.

You need your proof of vaccination and the form (declaration d'honneur) that you sign to say that you don't have any symptoms and have not been in contact with a positive case. This is just paper form and doesn't need to be uploaded. Make sure you click on the tab for "amber countries" as the UK is still considered as amber by France.

You will need a PLF to return to the UK. This can be filled in from 48 hours before you fly and you will need to have purchased day2 LFTs in order to get the code for the form.

Whilst here, you will need to show your vaccination proof to go into any bar or restaurant. Also museums, theatres, cinemas. Shops are fine although you may need the pass to get into the larger shopping malls (don't have any of those near us so can't comment from experience).

Hope your trip goes well.
Depending on where you are going, you may find that masks are compulsory, even outside. They are certainly required in supermarkets and shops.

I missed the bit about there being children involved.

My comments above only apply to the vaccinated adults. I don't have young children so can't comment on what they need.

9 is fine anyway. Technically I think they need a declaration d’honneur same as vax adults but nobody will likely ask. Have a fab trip OP

12+ for testing.

@boismint

Thanks for the clarification!

I was worried that I had inadvertently sent OP off with the wrong information Blush
