Where can we go abroad with teenagers aged 12-17 (ie not possible to be double vaccinated)

If I understand it correctly anyone with a child between 12-17 is pretty limited for destinations that don't require tests to enter the country and/or tests every few day whilst there in order to use restaurants etc.
(eg to go to France we'd need a test less than 24 hours before travel and then tests every three days in order to be able to go to museums/restaurants etc).
Is there anywhere in Europe that is accepting children over 12 without quarantine/tests?
I'm trying to be positive and work out where we can go rather than get really cross about the limits on a group that has already missed out on so much (and at an age that I was really looking forward to travelling with them to various cities in Europe).

I agree that it is utterly confusing. I read today on one website that ds will need to do a test in Tenerife before leaving but now can't find that bit. 14 years old are not always classed as children by the look of it. I feel there's a huge amount of pressure on them to be negative for a family holiday when it's not their fault they've only had one vaccination Hmm

@NCTDN we're in Tenerife now and there's no requirement to do an additional test before getting home. DS 15 had the PCR test before leaving and then we all have a test when we get home, but nothing while here.
The paperwork was a huge hassle and can't deny I was on tenterhooks waiting for DS to get his PCR results, but now we're here it's lovely.

Thanks @rookiemere I'm so nervous about his pcr test. I hope I've got the correct paperwork sorted!

@rookiemere did your ds do the pcr test himself?

@NCTDN no the person at the test Center did the test, we used Express test and they seemed very good.

My top tip for the paperwork is print it all out and have it in a separate folder ready to hand. Also I suspect looking organised makes you less likely to be singled out for more checking - an elderly man was having a dispute at the airport but when we came through.

Getting in to the country was really easy they just scanned our locator code and then the hotel took copies of the vaccination certificate and test results.
