Has anyone travelled from England to Denmark and can help me with covid rules

I'm trying to work out the rules and finding myself going around in circles.

To enter Denmark I understand that my teen needs a negative test, and I show my vaccination status (two jabs)

trying to work out if I need to book day 2 tests for my return to UK?

Also, would we need a negative test to fly back to UK?

its a weekend trip

any help appreciated!

I've sent you a pm iwantavuvezela

Sorry this is no help and I see you've had a reply anyway, but I just wanted to post to say I sympathise with anybody who's finding it it difficult to follow the complicated and ever changing travel regulations.

Hope your trip goes well.

Thanks @mibbelucieachwell - it is so hard, as I keep reading the advice but it so hard to follow - however Brandingo has given me some really detailed advice

I will post back here when I have been and gone (hopefully) so that anyone else travelling can at least have that

Hi, I hope OP had a good trip, I have a question and wondered if anyone would know?

Can a 17 year old enter Denmark having had only one vaccination?

Alternatively do Denmark accept NHS covid pass issued due to medical exemption? I don't know if this is treated differently to the covid pass you get when fully vaccinated.

Tia for any help

underneaththeash · 13/01/2022 18:39

@MoiraNotRuby are you the one with the medical exemption?

I'd call them - the number is +45 32 32 05 11 (you need to press 00 beforehand).

MoiraNotRuby · 13/01/2022 19:40

Thanks - no its my 17 year old, will be travelling alone, had a bad reaction to first jab, trying to work out best plan of action for him, its tricky.

underneaththeash · 13/01/2022 22:44

That's even more complicated then. I'd call them. Don't worry they'll speak English, and they say yes or no. The only issue you'll have is that it may change in a couple of weeks.

MoiraNotRuby · 13/01/2022 23:44

Thanks, I will call them tomorrow... I know its so tricky with things changing so often. But if he can manage to go it will be such a great experience, Denmark looks amazing.

MimosaFields · 14/01/2022 23:27

Just get the information from gov.uk . It's the only official information. In answer to your question, yes, everyone needs a day 2 test

My dc went to Denmark in December. This is really clear and easy to follow:
