Hello Mumsnet,
I hope you lovely lot could give me some help/advice re: Spain or Greece, two bed suites or guaranteed interconnecting rooms?
We like hotels where they can make holiday friends, all inclusive is good as I'm not having to keep paying for drinks, ice cream every hour, where there are some activities to keep them entertained.
The problem is, some Tour Operators won't take two 15 year olds and two adults in their two bedroom listings and we don't fancy leaving our two 15 year olds in their own room or us sleeping with one teen each night.
So, any recommendations for good, all inclusive hotels, with activities, with two bedrooms or guaranteed interconnecting rooms.
Thank you in advance.

Try Falesia Mar in the Algarve its not all inclusive and the rooms aren’t flash. But their is a beautiful beach below. The large room has a big bedroom for you and your husband (two single beds pushed together) and an L shaped sofa bed which was fine for our tall 15 and 16 year olds. Its not flash and not all inclusive but they used to have a fantastic animation team who organised low key water polo, water basketball, football, archery, aerobics, aqua aerobics, daily challenges and cocktail workshops etc etc.

The view from the swimming pool looking over the cliffs is gorgeous as is the view from the bar and the restaurant. The breakfasts were big with plenty of choice, we either had lunch at the pool bar or self catered in the room and we ate out every night in Olgos De Agua.

The Falesia Garden has newer rooms and has all the same facilities but the Falesia Mar is closer to the facilities and has the fabulous views. You can book with Jet2 or directly with the hotel.

We’ve stayed in a few Onagrup properties which are not plush but you do get an actual 2 bed apartment with a small kitchen. Ona Cala Pi Club in Cala Pi, Mallorca is in a nice small resort with half board options. There are a couple in Alcudia and one in Calahonda, Costa del Sol. You can find them on Booking.com.

Iberostar or Mitsis hotels could work.

Hotel Atlantica Portobello Royal in Kos. It’s absolutely stunning and right on a private beach too. At the back of it, just across the car park, is a water park. When we went last year the entrance was free but that might have been just because of Covid.

We had such a wonderful holiday there last September. There’s lots of swimming pools so you never have to fight for a sun bed. The food was lovely. There’s milkshake and ice cream parlour, too, which we loved. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We hired a car, too, so we could go out and about. There’s so many beautiful beaches in the vicinity.

Mark Warner and Neilson holidays both do interconnecting rooms options for families.

Why wouldn't you just book two rooms and say an adult will be in each, and then swap when you get to your rooms? How will they know?

DeliaOwens · 05/09/2021 14:11

@chocolatesaltyballs22
I won't do this because a friend did this. There was an incident. Adults weren't present (similar set up to what you suggest).

Insurance didn't pay out because there was cc proof that no adult was present
