Canary Islands luxury hotel with kids club?
babouchette · 25/08/2021 13:25
Does anyone have any recommendations for a 4 or 5 star hotel in the Canary Islands with good facilities for a toddler? Preferably a kids' club, children's pool etc.
We are looking ahead a few weeks and hoping (perhaps optimistically) to book a holiday with our toddler.
No preference on which island we stay on - we're mainly just aiming for good autumn weather!

We've booked to go here in October half term with Jet2. Keeping everything crossed and it's good to see a recommendation!

I would recommend this hotel too. We love it so much we have stayed here 3 times!
The pools are great, the food was always very good and staff were very friendly and helpful.
@Zampa sure you'll have a great time!

We never used the formal kids clubs at Princess Yaiza but did love that the free, supervised soft play was open from something like 9pm - 10pm as well as during the day. We scoffed at this when we booked as who would send their soft play aged children to soft play at that time of day. Turns out that we do! Dinner at 7pm; watched the entertainment at 8pm & then DH & I went for a drink in the bar whilst the DC went to soft play. Fantastic. Only problem was that, if they were wearing sandals to dinner, they wouldn't have worn socks so we had to go all the way back to the room to get a pair. DH got very good at always remembering extra socks when we went to dinner!

Agree Princess Yaiza is good. We used the crèche for a 15 month old and kids club for an older one. Very good set up all round.
My advice is to stay in the MAIN hotel, not the family section across the road. It is linked by a walkway which is fine but the pool isn't as nice and the main resto options are by the main hotel.

We're just back from Playa Blanca & the Yaiza is closed at the moment - looks like big refurb going on... however I recommend THe Hotel Volcan in Playa Blanca at the rubicon marina end - best pools I've ever seen, perfect for kids, mini discos nightly etc plus v luxurious & gorgeous for the grown ups too!

@headintheproverbial aww I’m jealous. I can’t wait to go back, maybe next Easter.
We went in 2019 and at the time our dd was almost 2. We didn’t leave her at the kids club but they had pop in hours and we stayed playing with her. So many restaurant choices and they were all gorgeous…we stayed 10 days and barely left the resort which is so unusual for us. Everything is so glam but children were very welcome yet it didn’t feel like a “family hotel” if you know what I mean. Kids ate for free under 5 I think. I never want to return to a holiday spot as I love trying new places but we plan to return there unless we get a really good recommendation of somewhere with a similar vibe. We used a company called Great British Nannies three nights so we could go for dinner and it was great. I saw them around during the day also playing with kids while parents went to spa etc. but we just used them when baby was sleeping. The Michelin restaurant is so fabulous, expensive but if you like that kind of food it’s worth it. Enjoy your holidays, you will have a ball!

@GingerBreadTeddy
I think it must have been the time of the year. We have been in May and June and it was pretty cool if you went in early in the morning but we usually went to the pool around 10/11 and it was fine then.
