Hi
I'm travelling to croatia on the 24th. I am so confused with tests. I have found a test to fly out but how do I do a test to get back in - do I have to go to a clinic out there? Also how do I organise a two day test? Does anyone have any recommendations or can give q quick idiots guide to what I should do?
Many thanks in desperate advance

Croatia is green list so you need 3 X tests, one before you leave, one whilst there and one on day 2 post return. You say you've done the first, the one while there can be an at home test (not an NHS one though) or you can go to a clinic while there, and can be a lateral flow or pcr. The day 2 pcr can also be done at home or a local clinic. I used this site to compare prices and find a trusted provider www.covid19-testing.org/travel-testing , good luck!

Thank you so much. How do I do the test before I go back? I was planning to fly to split but travel to dubrovnic to see a friend so I am unsure of how to find a clinic?

You need to find a clinic in the city (or one of the cities) you're staying in in the 3 days before you fly back. Google name of city + covid antigen test, or PCR test. Split and Dubrovnik should have a decent number of testing services available this summer.

For your day 2 go to the travel government website and look through their list of government-approved providers. You will need a booking reference number for your PLF before you fly home, so you will need to book the test prior to completing your PLF.

I used NWP which were £40 and through a postal service, one of the cheapest out there and a very smooth, easy process. I recommend them.

There are clinics in dubrovnik or if your itinerary is flexible or you don't have much time, easiest thing is to buy a test kit to take with you and then you can do whenever/wherever convenient (I think it's about £30 for that), I don't think ot has to be a supervised one for the middle test, you just have to have some kind of official notification to show you have done it (hence the free NHS ones no good)

You can get tested at both Dubrovnik and Split airports:

My son is going to Croatia on Friday. Antigen test is booked for pre UK departure but on the Croatia pre arrival form it says the test has to be approved by the EU. How would I know who the manufacturer of the test is, so I can check it's on the list of approved tests!? It's booked through NPH at Leeds Bradford airport.

@Herecomethedaffodils
Here's the list of the EU approved tests: ec.europa.eu/health/sites/default/files/preparedness_response/docs/covid-19_rat_common-list_en.pdf
You could contact the provider to check if the test manufacturer is on the list.

But honestly, I wouldn't worry much. I think the providers in the EU and here are using much of the same tests. And if it's a provider at the airport then I would bet they have vetted their tests with EU countries.

Thanks. I managed to get in touch with the provider who confirmed the test is Healgen which is on the approved list. I too had those same thoughts regarding it being a test that was conducted at the airport but just had that "what if" niggly feeling that I needed to check it all out!! Tests now done and negative results all round!! 🎉

Place marking.
For the links thank you.
We are going to Ljubljana, Slovenia end of Sept.

we went to Marin med in Dubrovnik (down near Port) and it was so straightforward! Booked antogen (LFT) online before we went, cost 15 euro pp. In a open tent behind the clinic, took 10 secs and they emailed us 30 mins later with certificate etc. Dead easy. Then all you need to do is fill in passenger locator form to reurn back to the UK and bring proof of the -ve antigen test.
