Has anyone travelled abroad soon after having Covid?

I'm stressing. Tested positive beginning of July and due to fly to Greece mid August. I have the NHS app showing vaccination and positive covid result, but I'm concerned about getting a residual positive test in the airport at Greece, or before flying home. Has anyone experienced this?

If you don't get any replies, it might be worth posting in the coronavirus section.

Worth reading through the long thread about travel to Greece.

Quite a few of us traveled/travelling to Greece in that situation.

We all had covid recently (in UK)

I'm lying looking at the Greek sea right now Smile

LFTs for kids all negative.
No testing at airport on arrival.

I presume LFT to get home will also be negative.
PCR on day 2 inUK on return Might be positive, but we can quarantine...

Hi posh I was on that thread too but I think there was just me and you who had recently had covid. So glad you got there with no issues! Interesting you didn't get tested on arrival, it's not ALL arrivals then. Have a fabulous time Smile

We didn't see anyone on our plane get tested on arrival.

Oh really, are you on an island or mainland if you don't mind saying?

I wouldn't be this bothered about a holiday usually but it's for a long awaited wedding so the stakes are higher.

We are in the same situation but going to a country that requires pcr to enter and won’t accept proof of recent recovery instead. It was dd who had it and so mildly we’d never have guessed (tested because of school contact). She was negative on lf within a few of days of first positive. Hope that means she is less likely to test positive but don’t feel we can get excited

@Summersdreaming Crete

Mia85 would you mind saying which country that is? Smile

For Greece they accept proof of a positive test as long as over 30 days ago for entry. They do random tests at the airport but if that shows positive you show your proof of having tested positive more than 30 days and less than 180 days ago.

Thanks Moving that is what I'm hoping will happen.
