Flying after having covid

I am due to fly to cyprus for long awaited ivf treatment on the 3rd of August. I am double vaccinated. However I tested positive for covid on the 19th July. I will have completed my isolation period and there will have been 15 days since positive test before flying. To fly out I don't require a pcr test prior to departure, as I am double vaccinated. However to return to the UK I will require a pcr, which is likely to test positive because I have had the virus in the last 90 days. I am concerned I won't be able to get back to the UK. Has anyone been a similar situation? Thanks

To get back to UK I'm pretty sure you only need Later Flow Test which is less likely to show false positive post covid I believe.

We only needed LFs before returning to the U.K.

That is very reassuring as I have lft's at home due to my work and tried one and it was negative 👍 was this for cyprus?

You are very unlikely to test positive on the return journey. It's possible but unlikely. My whole family were back to testing negative very quickly once we had cleared the virus from our bodies and were well x

From the Cyprus page on the .gov.uk site it says

Returning to the UK
When you return, you must follow the rules for entering the UK.

You are responsible for organising your own COVID-19 test, in line with UK government testing requirements. The Cypriot government has advised that travellers should contact local authorities for information on testing facilities by calling 1450 or 1412.

The U.K. rules are here: www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-testing-for-people-travelling-to-england
