Where was your best European holiday destination?

A few years ago there was a thread about the best ever holiday destination and quite a few posters mentioned one particular place in Europe. Of course I can't remember where it was. So where was your best ever European summer holiday?

Croatia

Switzerland - jungfrau area. We actually stayed at Manor Farm campsite on lake thunersee (absolutely stunning) but has great connections via free bus to Interlaken then all the mountain railways to various villages/peaks. It totally stole my heart. I’ve never been so sad to leave somewhere after a holiday and I will definitely go back.

Probably the one we all liked best was in Lapland seeing brown bears in the wild, white water rafting, summer toboggan, empty beaches, lots of reindeer incl white ones, lots of lovely homemade Finnish food and fruit juices.
