Air bnb cancelled with less than 48 hours notice

We were looking at Airbnbs recently. I noticed that some reviews were automatically generated messages saying that the owner had cancelled the booking and how many days in advance that had happened. Don't know whether that applies to all bookings.

Owners get fined/black marks for cancelling bookings so usually won’t without very good reason.

This is why I hate AirBnB. That and their insistence that the keep their booking fee mid COVID when we couldn't travel (flights cancelled) and telling the host to refund us. But they kept their £300. Immoral bastards.

But they'll probably be able to overlook a few black marks and fines from AirBnB if they re-let the property for 2/3/4 times the price, as has been happening.

Guests should avoid booking with hosts who have more than one of these. They are flakes.
