Hi, middle-aged but very active couple spending a week in Jersey soon. Recommendations for things to do, please, indoor and outdoor? Also, what's the best way to get from airport to St Helier, please? TIA 😊

There’s a bus stop immediately in front of the Arrivals’ Terminal with services to Liberation Station in St Helier. Buses 15, 22 and 9. Should take about 20-30 mins.
Definitely visit the war tunnels. You don’t need to have an interest in the war tobe moved by them. Every visitor is handed a “passport” of a real Jersey resident upon arrival. At the end, you find out what happened to that person.
Beauport Beach is one of the best things to do in Jersey if you’re after a beach day. It’s totally unspoilt and stunning.Plemont beach is gorgeous too. Afterwards, stop by La Mare Wine Estate
Mont Orgeuil Castle is worth a visit and you can even abseil down the castle walls! Also, you could stroll down the Gorey Pier for some of the best views of castle and eat at the Jersey Crab Shack - they do yummy crab tacos.
Take a walk around St Helier marina at sunset

I love St Brelade’s Bay, a lovely beach. We always go to Durrells (zoo). Also a Seafari and a visit to Elizabeth Castle. A trip on the land train around St Helier to St Aubin will share lots of interesting facts.

Definitely the War Tunnels, we need to learn from history.

Brilliant! War tunnels sound very interesting so will definitely check those out (and obviously the wine estate at some point!!).

We like a mix of beach chilling and culture/history so sounds like there's plenty to do in that sense.

You've certainly been more helpful in your replies than our travel agent Grin thank you!

Would you consider hiring a car? We did this a couple of years ago and saw so much of the island.
War tunnels
Durrells zoo
Lavender farm
Elizabeth castle
Jersey Pearl
St Brelades bay - a lovely walk along the front
There are some great places to eat too - we didn’t have a bad meal throughout the whole week!

I would suggest a sunset walk along St Ouens. We always enjoy a cliff top walk at Groznez whenever we are over. Corbeire lighthouse is a nice walk too. If you’re over during the persiod meteor shower you will be able to see lots of shooting stars so a night time trip might be nice.
Greve de lecq is a lovely quiet beach (and colleens cafe is throughly recommended). And honestly, for a properly active excursion, a trip down devils hole in St Mary’s is a must.

You need to hire a car, there’s not point otherwise.

Thanks for all suggestions. Sounds like we'll need a return visit to pack it all in. Advice much appreciated. One more thing, bike hire, please? Smile

They have electric bikes in st helier and st aubin for hire, similar to London’s boris bikes. Your hotel may also offer bike hire, most of them do, but if they don’t they will know somewhere who does.

Thank you Smile
