We have EasyJet vouchers to use but can’t decide which city to fly to in Europe.
Love Walking, photography, green spaces, gardens, lakes, parks, rivers, trees, nice food, restaurants, views etc
Help me decide please.

I immediately thought of Slovenia too!

Boomshakalack · 16/07/2021 06:35

Ljubljana

ForkedIt · 16/07/2021 06:38

We loved Vienna.
Not the greenest but not a concrete jungle. Lots to walk around and see but public transport is very good (clean, safe, punctual!).
Beautiful historical buildings.
You could even pop over to Budapest and make it a 2 for 1!

Crap, you've just given me a massive wham of travel bug, I actually think I might cry?! Not had that since pre kids, eldest is 6...
Go to Ljubljana and take a bus to Lake Bled. I also loved Riga and Tallinn.

First thought was Slovenia.

Standrewsschool · 16/07/2021 07:44

@GCAcademic

Annecy. You can fly to Geneva and transfer there.
Annecy was my first thought also.
INeedtobealone · 16/07/2021 07:48

Verona and train to lake Garda in 20/30 mins

LIZS · 16/07/2021 07:50

Vienna? Can cruise along Danube to Budapest.

Livingmagicallyagain · 16/07/2021 07:51

Innsbruck in the Tirol.

kikisparks · 16/07/2021 07:54

Salzburg and visit Wolfgangsee.

TheDogsMother · 16/07/2021 08:00

Another one for Annecy. Seville is lovely too with some great green spaces and a river not a lake.

movingadviceneeded · 16/07/2021 08:04

Innsbruck or Salzburg.

Geamhradh · 16/07/2021 08:11

My (cancelled) easyJet city break flights were for:
Copenhagen
Berlin
Vienna.
Seville
Granada

If you can fly to Verona you can, as pps have said, also pull in Lake Garda, and likewise Milan gets you Lake Como.

Mansplainee · 16/07/2021 08:14

Vienna

FelicityPike · 16/07/2021 08:17

Nijmegen & the whole Market Garden area of The Netherlands.

mumma24 · 16/07/2021 09:12

Thanks everyone, I’m busy making lists. Going to pick 2 places to visit as we had our silver anniversary and my husband’s 60th recently. One for each celebration

Amsterdam

Berlin. I think a third of its area is green space. Walking through the Tiergarten from Zoo up to the Brandenburg Gate (and then on up Unter den Linden) is a lovely way to enjoy urban green space and take in lots of history at the same time. Or walk up the bank of the Spree from Hauptbahnhof (or take a river taxi).

There are lots of lakes to swim in too - Wannsee, Schlachtensee. Or a trip to Pfaueninsel which is wonderful.
