Hi

Im looking to take my lg to Disneyland

Wont be till march time next year but i don't know where to begin

Any advice on where to stay and who to book with would be great please

Also i will be flying there as i don't want to drive so would like to be as close to the park as possible without it being stupidly priced

Which airport is the closes?.

Thank you x

Assuming you are in the UK? We typically fly easyjet to Charles de Gaulle airport. I also book private transfers (ezyshuttle I use) as they are same price as the train and they provide the car seats etc if you give child age. I have boys so stay at the explorers hotel as I find most others are catered to little girls more. I usually book flights and hotels with the like of travel republic or Expedia, then buy park tickets and arrange transfers separately.

I flew to Charles de gaulle and booked transport to Disney from there. It was really easy. We stayed at hotel cheyenne which was good. It's toy story themed. Walking distance to the park although DS was 3 when we went so I had the pram. I think it was about a 15min walk. There's a shuttle from the park but we didn't want to queue and I don't mind walking. I think if DS hadn't had the pram we'd have used the bus more! There are closer hotels but I felt they were too expensive.

Hi

Yes im in uk.. would i be covered due to covid if it got cancelled or i had to cancel if all done separately?

Is it cheaper to book everything like that rather than as a package?

Thank you for replying x

I’d currently book as a package because I think there’s more protection due to Covid. I’ve booked with magic breaks before and found them extremely helpful. Stayed in hotel Cheyenne in the Disneyland Paris resort both times and loved it!

Always stay on site at a Disney hotel, they currently have the zen guarantee and will refund due to Covid. However booking the flights separately is a risk. Ours got cancelled last year and luckily both got refunded. Disney were much quicker than the airline.

Try Magic Breaks x

Caramellatteplease · 23/06/2021 21:35

Always book disney direct. However transport separately. Especially at the moment. Far easier to reorganise magic breaks people have tended to have more trouble reorganizing from what I have seen.

As a preference I'd always stay onsite. I find it jarring exiting my happy disney bubble half way through and there are lots of benefits (like extra magic hours and shopping service) to staying onsite. We've stayed Sequoia (many times), Newport Bay (twice) and DLH (once). They all have merits. If I didnt have wheelchair to deal with so prefer a very easy walk/roll to the hotel, I'd look at the Cheyenne.

CDG is the nearest airport. Most people private shuttle (cost works out better for us) although the trains are very quick if you get the right times.

Just a note, I find Eurostar easier in normal times. The trains usually go direct to the park gates, but they were only running indirect (into Paris proper) and although they are meant to be starting I couldn't get direct trains anywhere close to our dates later in the year. If you can change at lille it's meant to be a good options (wouldn't work for me with the wheelchair)

Fly to Charles de gaulle, stay on site, look at the Santa fa hotel. Book flights though easy jet and book hotel and park tickets through magic breaks. We go yearly but due to covid we haven't been since 2019, we are finally returning at the end of March Smile be aware April is the start of their anniversary so the prices will shot up around mid April.

GiantToadstool · 23/06/2021 21:41

We've done eurotunnel change at lille in the past but a bit uneasy about reliability so planning to drive next year, stay in hotel over there so first day onsite will be a full day. Planning to book onsite hotel direct.

clareykb · 23/06/2021 21:44

Another vote for hotel Cheyenne here. Was one of the cheapest and still walkable in even though there were shuttle buses. We got Eurostar and it was super easy however we went in Feb 2020 and a lot has happened since then!

Floralnomad · 23/06/2021 21:47

We always book direct with Disney although I prefer to drive for convenience ( and I don’t fly unnecessarily) they’ve been very good with rebooking and cancellations for covid but not all the hotels are open at the moment.

extravirginoliveoil · 25/06/2021 18:41

I always book direct with Disney. Easy jet flights and book a private transfer. We stay at the DLH. Lucky to have been many times so personally, I’d rather do 2-3 days at the DLH than 5-6 elsewhere.

My biggest tip is plan. Plan again and then plan more. If you just rock up without a plan, you’ll be disappointed.
