Anything in particular you want tips on? (I'm currently at Sherwood Forest Center Parcs)

Just things to do that we won't have thought of, things to take, anything near by... x

I’m here now!
Book everything in advance, especially restaurants. It’s well organised and completely cashless.
Bring shower gel/tea bags etc as the lodges are completely empty these days except a bar of soap and three dishwasher tablets!

Pegs! They provide a small clothes airer, the right size for swimsuits.

Something warm for in the evenings - I love sitting outside in the evenings but it can be a bit chilly.

Oh - bird food and squirrel food. They sell it in the shop but it's cheaper to get from your local supermarket before you go.

I haven’t been post lockdown so don’t know how much has changed. We used to use the facilities on-site – namely the swimming pool – from 10am onwards. We packed all swimming stuff separately so that we could park up and spend the morning swimming. Then OH went back to the car to drive it onto the village and up to the lodge with all the rest of our gear in, while we sauntered over there all casual.
Don’t hurry off to bring your car up to your lodge at 3pm if you don’t have to. Let the rush die down a bit and then go, and you’ll beat the crowds and get a bit more time in the pool.
When you drive your car back to the car park – where it’ll probably stay until you go home – text yourself the location, or write it down if you’ve got no signal. That way you won’t have any delays when it’s time to check-out at the end of your holiday.
You can leave the site at any time to explore the local area or to do a top up shop. Just let the staff know so you can get a badge for the car to let you back in.
Pack a bucket and spade - every village has a small, sandy beach on the lake.
Take a packet of toilet rolls – you’ll only get one roll provided in each of your toilets.
Take beach towels for the pool. There are plenty of towels at your lodge, but you’re going to want them for baths and showers.
Don’t worry about packing buoyancy aids. There are racks full of buoyancy jackets in two different sizes, and they’re free.
Take washing up liquid. There’s a little sachet on the sink to get you started, but that’s it. As with most things, you can pick up a bottle in the ParcMarket. But if you’re trying to save money it’ll be cheaper to bring it from home. Likewise, bring some extra dishwasher tablets. There’ll be a handful in the lodge, but they won’t get you through your break. On that note, take a couple of extra tea towels, too, as there’s only one supplied.
Depending on where your lodge is, there may be a fair bit of walking to get to the main areas, so take some good shoes. That said, Woburn is the smallest of the 5 villages so it’s ideal if you’re not up for a hike.
Bring some bubble bath if you’re staying in an executive or exclusive lodge. They come with an amazing bath with bubble jets in, and I can honestly say it’s the most fun my son had the whole time during our stay.
We find that the curtains are very thin, so if your dc needs a dark room to sleep for naps, you may want to take a black out blind and a small night light.
There are brick-built BBQ stands at all the lodges and you can buy a disposable tray to go in it from the ParcMarket. There are a couple of basic tools provided in the lodge, too (tongs and a fish slice).
Take a backpack/rucksack. If you plan to hire a bike these are essential.
Book a katakanu. For five people this cost £16.50 which makes it a really low cost activity. We got to watch the ducks in the reeds and it was a nice way to spend half an hour.
