DD and I are having our first girls weekend away We will be staying with her Godmother and have 3 days to do...? We will visit a few galleries and have a general wander around, but is there anything nice and Parisian to do that DD will really enjoy?

TIA

You could look disdainfully at English people?

It is a long time since I was there, but there used to be a traditional carousel somewhere near the Eiffel Tower - as you walked down to it from the Palais de Chaillot I think.

Also - how about cake and hot chocolate at a tea room, don't know if Angelinas is still there (nr the Louvre I think).

Jardin du Luxembourg seems to be the top recommendation for little ones - puppet shows and pony rides (and probably a carousel too, there seem to be a lot). No doubt also somewhere there to have chocolat chaud. I don't think you want more from Paris than that when you're three.

those are just the sort of things I ad in mind - carousels and puppet shows, as opposed to galleries! Thanks

Definitely Jardin du Luxembourg - my three year old daughter loves the pony rides, the sailing boats and the adventure playground.

As well as Angélina on rue de Rivoli for hot chocolate and a Mont-Blanc there is Ladurée on rue Royale (not the horrible factory like on Champs-Elysées) and you can stock up on a boxful of mini macarons to take home with you .

And my daughter adores the big wheel that is currently at the Place de la Concorde.

Jardin du Palais-Royal is lovely for a walk too - no children's entertainment, but lots of climbing and jumping on the columns at the south end.
