Christmas break in a cottage

Hi. Do you think this is a bit of a long shot? Me, dh and 7 month ds would like to spend Christmas Eve night, Christmas Day night and Boxing Day night (ergo 3 nights) in a cottage somewhere in the UK - maybe Peak District. Have looked at English cottages etc and most don't cover just those 3 nights. Any ideas? TIA

you'd probably have to pay for a few wekk covering these days and just leave earlier thus loosing some money.

That's what I was worried about Bran. I've just been searching and I've found a cottage in Lincolnshire that is for 3 nights at £180. It takes about 3 hours from South East (where I live) to Nottingham. Is Lincoln much further does anyone know? Will travelling by car with small ds on Xmas Eve be worth it I wonder?!

I don't actually know where Lincoln is but I'd say it's a bit adventurous travelling on Christmas Eve with a baby. But then again, if you don't do it now, will you do it in later years?

have you looked for cottages in Yorkshire or Cornwall or Devon? I know these are nice places but it might be more expensive.

Devon, Cornwall and Yorkshire even further than Lincolnshire unfortunately. Perahps we should just stay home. Just felt like as we're not seeing family doing something a bit out of the ordinary you know?

Try Rural Retreats - they do breaks by the day I think. Pretty expensive but vv nice. What about National Trust?

I can recommend Hoseasons Cottages. They do 3 night breaks on some of theirs. If you could get a one bedroom one that takes a travel cot that would keep the costs down. Where abouts in the south east are you? They do some in Norfolk & Suffolk.

Try Lantern Cottage in Appledore, North Devon. I moaned about it , but only cos of the weather and dh. But you'll get that anywhere. See if I can find a (not) link And it was only £230 for the whole half term! 10 metres from the beach!
