Flying with the E3 - what do you do with it?

I think this may have been touched upon by another thread but I can't find it! Thinking about holiday next year and travelling by plane with 6 month old ds and 2 1/2 yr old dd - we have an E3 explorer but not sure what to do with it on the plane. Have taken a buggy before but just put it in a stroller bag and out it came the other side but the E3 is abit of a monster. DH thinks that we can't take it and is threatening 24hr ferry to Santander (with babies) so if anyone can advise to save me from that hell, it would be great!! Thanks!

there's a travel bag which you can pack it into (like a suitcase: it even has wheels!) They sell them at practical pushchairs (.co.uk I think?) am v excited about the arrival of my e3

We took our Mountain Buggy with us on the plane (similar size), packed it into the case at the gate and they brought it out after we landed although we did have to wait a while for that to happen. Probably depends on the airline.

I've never taken my E3 on a plane and tbh after all that investment I wouldn't want to risk getting it damaged! But as has been said, if you really wanted to you could get the travel bag and I guess it would have to go in the hold.

There are 24 months between my two and we've flown on holiday twice - when ds2 was 4 months and 9 months. First time we took sling and maclaren, second time back pack and maclaren. Ds1 tends to walk with ds1 in either back pack or maclaren, but taking the buggy meant we did have teh option to wheel ds1 if he needed to sleep or to be contained.
