I'm planning on going to the South of France next July (Covid permitting) I've never been but am Interested in the Provence region. Has anyone been there/near there? Does anyone have any recommendations on things to do/places to stay? Thanks

It really depends what you’re into. Provence can be glamorous/ blingy and overpriced, or quiet and rural depending on where you go. Do you want some city, or just countryside? Do you want to be near the sea ( it will be busy in July) or are you happy to stay inland, are you thinking hotel , an air bnb or a campsite? Do you speak a little French ? All of these will make a difference to the recommendations.

We have been to the South of France quite a few times. Provence is a very big area and as previous poster said is pretty varied. Are you planning on one week or two?
We usually do one rural week in a villa then a seaside week.
Invariably the country week is a lot less expensive and you can rent a very nice villa very reasonably compared to the seaside places.
Am v happy to proved details of where we have stayed but a lot depends on what you are looking for?
If you like art Vence is good and near to Nice so could combine the two?
It is fantastic what ever you choose to do.
