All inclusive holidays

I’ve seen some really cheap deals for all inclusive holidays on the tui website, but I’m unsure if I’d like an all inclusive holiday due to the risk of contamination in the food halls. I’ve been on all inclusive as before and always notice people touch a lot of things before they decide what they want to eat. Anyone been recently who can give me some insight as to what measures are being taken? Thanks

Often on cruises the staff will serve you to try and avoid cross contamination.

My dislike of AI and buffets is that you dont know how long the food has sat there,(often at ambient temperature) so even without other people contaminating it I am a bit wary from a food hygeine POV. I've only done AI once and out of 12 of us 6 were unwell from d and v.(some for most of the 1 week holiday) Of course it cant be proven it was caught from the buffet but it did put me off.

Most of the ai hotels now are doing service rather than buffet. You also have to reserve a dinner table in some places
