Yes we are. Think it's the same risk as here in UK

It is absolutely not the same risk here as in some places abroad. We have just cancelled our trip to France in a couple of weeks time as the region we are going to has an R rate of 3.

You need to look in detail at where exactly you are going and I would only book very last minute. Things can change rapidly in two weeks. You also need to think about insurance, what would happen if you went into local lockdown, what if you have to quarantine for two weeks in the U.K. if you are made to, what are local healthcare systems like?

I am enjoying things opening up a little more here but am very conscious that you are reliant on other people “being good” not just yourself. People on holiday naturally tend to be a bit more relaxed about things.

We are just holidaying in the U.K. this year.

@Zodlebud not everywhere is a lower risk than uk I agree but the beach resorts in uk were pretty much booked up when we were looking a few weeks ago which tells me they will be extremely busy and therefore restaurants and places of interest will be busy too.

No , not because of any covid risk but because of the uncertainty will it / won't it get cancelled and the restrictions surrounding the pandemic will not work for the type of holidays we like ( very social, lots of activities)

Currently on holiday in the U.K. (south coast). Accommodation is busy but restaurants very empty. Attractions need to be prebooked. People are keeping themselves to themselves I think.

I'm not but hadn't planned to as we had an expensive trip abroad at Christmas. But a few of my friends are and all seem quite keen to avoid airports so are travelling to Europe by ferry or Eurostar (by car).
I live in a tourist destination and my friends holiday cottage fully booked until.October and another runs a hotel and she's full up too. Beaches are busy but not sure shops and restaurants (other than places with a lot of outdoor seating) are doing that well. I've noticed even more restaurants are delivering meals than during lockdown.

We are currently on holiday in France.

18y dd flew out on a half empty flight a week ago to SW France. Dh and I used Eurostar to travel to Paris to meet her yesterday. We are then travelling to 3 other areas in France.

The infection rate is lower in the areas we are visiting and other than Paris the other areas have had no confirmed cases of CV19 for weeks, and certainly no deaths.

We are using public transport and staying in hotels, though none are big resort style ones.

We have to wear masks on public transport and taxis, and inside shops. In restaurants you wear a mask to walk to and from your table but not when sat down . Dd says you have to wear a mask to go up to a bar to order.

We've brought a selection of washable masks and many washable filters. We can rinse them out at the hotels in the bathroom and leave them to air dry for couple of days between uses.

There are hand sanitiser machines everywhere including on the streets of Paris and attached to bus stops.

Everywhere - trains, taxis and hotels - has felt very clean so far and it's felt fairly Covid safe throughout.

No holiday for us this year. Florida is not a safe place to travel at the moment. We’ve moved our dates to next summer so fingers crossed! I can’t do 2 summers without a holiday (first world problems I know).
