Can I travel to Scotland from England , week after next?

I google and can't find any conclusive information.
I keep hearing the border will be shut yet I hear of people entering Scotland. Does that mean they get sent back?
I've been isolating, it would be just me travelling. To visit one person, who has also been isolating 100% alone . However I've just been back at work for a few days , with social distancing in place.
Obviously I'm not going to go now if it's illegal. I just can't find definite information.
I'm not sure what the method of transport would be either.. I'll look into that only if I know I can legally enter Scotland. (I won't be driving though) I wouldn't be visiting any shops and would just be in and around the person's home

no i can't do it, and friends who have been from my area, it's about 7-8 hours drive usually. I wasn't even going to drive as can't drive that far, was thinking coach or train . So I realise, a big fat no .

Agree, the border is not shut, i know someone who travelled to Scotland for a week, a couple of weeks ago.
