I see differing info on websites, also one says yellow fever certificate must be shown on entry?

www.traveldoctor.co.uk/africa.htm is a good website to look at.

I think with regards to yellow fever this is only required if you have been visiting a country which has yellow fever endemic to it. I would speak with your practice nurse regarding up to date vaccinations required.
You may also need to take malaria tablets.

Would ensure that you have at least one blank page in your passport for the SA visitors stamp as this wil be stamped on entry.

www.fco.gov.uk also has travel advice.

We only needed Hep A for the kids as we weren't going to a malaria area. Also need up o date tetanus etc. Would check with GP though. have fun - it's a fab place for a holiday!

My two only had Hep A too, tbh anti malarials sometimes do more harm than good. Didn't have to have yellow fever.

I have never needed to produce a yellow fever certificate for SA. You only need anti malarials if you are going to a malaria area. Depends how long you are going for but you could consider BCG. I would speak to your GP or practice nurse about Hep A my little girl did not have this when we went last year. Definitely have an up to date tetanus. Hope you have a fab time.

I had Hep A and antimalarials for going to game park where mosquitoes were about. Didn't have to have yellow fever until I went to Kenya.
