Morocco or Fuerteventura in November? Which would you recommend?

We hope to book an all inclusive trip to either of these destinations for the middle of November. Does anybody have any experience of these places at that time of year? Heard Fuerteventura can be very windy?! There are 8 of us going 4 adults, 4 kids.

Fuerteventura is dull, dull, dull. Yes there are miles of sumptuous golden beaches - but not much else.

I'd opt for Morocco

In Morrocco I was sicking of feeling like a wallet on legs. The people didn't see me, just my money (not that I had much of that either). The hustling for business in Marrakech was relentlessly exhausting and I was never able to relax and enjoy the market. I also wouldn't have gone out on my own, as a woman. It's really full on and macho.

The best bit was Essouara (wrong spelling, sorry) and the Atlas mountains. Far more calm and less hassly. I can see why Jimmy Hendrix enjoyed his time there.

if the resort you're looking at in Morocco is Agadir, there isn't much to choose, culturally, between there and Fuerte - weather isn't much different either. And the wind means good windsurfing!

Just to contradict Spidermama , I had a great time in Marrakech and didn't feel unduly hassled or hustled. This may have been due to a large looming DH, but I was fine on the odd stroll as a lone woman (wearing long skirts and long sleeves, obv).
Essaouira indeed much more chilled though.

.... and you know how to spell Essaouira too MrsB.

I was there in the mid nineties. When were you there? Perhaps things have changed. It certainly helped having dh around but he had to haggle in a big macho, manly way even at the taxi place. Wandering through the souks we were accosted every couple of steps and in the end I just didn't dare stand still and look at anything.

We have a friend who works on a market stall over there so he acted as our guide and even took us to his house. He took some of the stress off.

We went in November to Morocco 4 years ago - the water was freezing so make sure the pool's heated. I only went in once - but was v pregnant! It was hot most days but we had a couple evenings of rain.
