Anyone recommend a farm holiday suitable for young children?

Can anyone recommend one in the UK - looking for one of those farm holidays where the children get to feed the animals, and maybe other facilities/activites to keep them amused. If you have been on one I'd love to hear what you thought, both good points and bad if any! Thanks very much.

We did go to torridge house this June and booked straight away for next year, www.torridgehouse.co.uk

Absolutely brilliant for both kids as well as parents

We went to torridge house (the one advertised on here) a few years ago and loved it. Our boys were only 2.5 and 9 months and they had a fab time. House we stayed in was a bit small but we weren't in it much. They had a video/DVD library, play room, would definitely go back.

I've been to Torridge House twice and we are going again next year, if fact I may go for lamb feeding every year until the DCs tell me they are too old - and then I may go on my own![Grin]

You can have your Tesco order delivered there, on site babysitting, Qualified Massage therapist/aromatherapist/Reiki practitioner down the road, just fab.

Torridge House

Fancy adding to the Review, oops ! Which cottage did you have - we were in Pear which was a bit tight, no bath, but secluded enough.

super, they have now converted more barns/buildings at Torridge.

We had a huge one this year HEN which wasn't converted 2 yrs ago when we were there. But last time we stayed in HAY which was compact!

Also at Torridge washing and drying facilities are free, which is very helpful.

I second Tredethick in Cornwall - it's fabulous but it's not cheap and it gets booked for the school holidays at least a year in advance.

We've also just been to Morton of Pitmilly near St Andrews - no animal feeding but still fab for kids - pool, play area, putting, football pitch and a stone's throw from loads of lovely beaches.

last time I looked Tredethick was booked for the whole season and they have changed it this year so you have to book Fri-Mon or Mon-Fri grrrr really inconvenient for my work!
