Any tips for a short break in Norway?

Hi,
Me, DP and our 6 and 5 year old DC are going to Norway in February half term as a surprise for DP because he has always wanted to go. We are staying in Oslo centre. Has anyone been and can advise on things we should look at doing whilst there? Any must see places?
Thanks in advance!

Oslo is a lovely city...we visited for a weekend in winter and I'd like to go back for longer in the summer. Visit the museum island...boat trip across the fjord and the Fram museum is great. Oslo is super expensive though so bring snacks for your DC.

I am from Oslo.
The Opera house. You can walk on the roof.
Holmenkolken ski jump. Good for kids and have a skijump similator.
The vigeland park. Amasing sculptures and a great playground.
Toboggan in the “Korketrekkeren” if there is snow when you visit. It’s currently warm and no snow.
Personally think the museum island is a bit overrated and my children find it boring as the museums in the UK are so much better.
Aker Brygge/Tjuholmen is a nice place to hang out by the harbour. Lots of nice places to eat.

Thank you both very much! I had planned to take a lot of snacks with me

I know Oslo fairly well and would agree with @BeardedMum 😊
The Viking ship museum is really good imo but I wouldn’t stay on the museum island for a whole day.
There are some nice places towards the east of the city too. The quirky Ekeberg sculpture park is great for a bracing walk (quite steep in places though!) and views of the fjord. In the trendy Grunerlokka neighbourhood I would take a walk by the Aker river and visit Mathallen (the food hall).
