Have not been but am thinking of going myself, the leaflet looks good. I have been to the ideal home show and it was pretty fun!

I've been. There was mountains of stuff to buy - some quite nice but I got a bit overwhelmed. DH hated it - no surprise there, I was pg with dd then so don't what it would be like with a child. There were free samples of food and drink and some massage/manicure freebies too but mostly I remember the masses of stuff....that's probably why I didn't like it - it was probably a bit too intimidating for a clueless pregnant person.

so best go on own or with friends rather than Dh - sounds about right mthey seem to have no patience for shopping and browsing.

Went last year when pregnant with DD and loved it (2nd time I've been) and I'm going again this year with friends and pregnant SIL.

It takes a long time to go round everything, but worth it for picking up bargains. However IMO I would not take kids (despite all the facilities catering for them) more fun to have a day out without them!!

Which one are you thinking of going to?

smileyragdoll · 04/10/2004 19:05

thinking of going to the one in London but will ahve to take ds 10 weeks in pram but hey it'll be a day out am going to book tickets in advance next week as they are cheaper than on the door.

Is there enough to interest someone with one ds aged 11 months? My Mum went 'on my behalf' last year (!) which was good for freebies and little baby things. But ,is it geared towards preg/very new parents? I dont want to pay 12.00 to look at lots of things that ds has outgrown now!
